We’re kicking off the 2017-18 MOPS year learning more about
what this year’s theme means to us and hearing speaker Cherie Duffy’s take on

October 12, 2017: GO FIRST: Abide in Our Shortcomings
Our speaker will focus on the fallacy of the Supermom and
show us how abiding in motherhood is just as powerful as doing it all. We’ll
also be creating adorable wood-slice pumpkins to get us in the fall spirit!

November 9, 2017: Letting LOVE Be the Loudest Voice
Let’s be honest mamas: Do you really take enough time to
take care of YOU? Kelly Pfeiffer will be with us to give us some helpful tips
on how to incorporate self-care into our lives as mothers. Our craft this month
will be something we can take home and use to pamper ourselves!

December 14, 2017: Christmas GIVING Party!
The Bloodmobile will be on the premises so we can give one
of the most important gifts of all. Bring a dish to share and we will celebrate
the gifts of food and friendship!

January 11, 2018: FREEDOM in Our Financial Life
Dealing with money can be a huge cause of tension and
stress, but it doesn’t have to be. Margaret will lead us through some helpful tips, gathered from the book "More than Just Making It" by Erin Odom, that we can put to use in the new year. And speaking of a new year, how about a pretty
paint chip calendar?

February 8, 2018: GUTSY Love: An Honest Marriage Panel
We are bringing back the couples panel! Last year this was a
favorite meeting for many. We get to benefit from the wisdom and experience of
three couples at different stages in their marriage. We’ll also participate in
a service project!

March 8, 2018: Putting LOVE First With Our Children
Returning guest Lisa Fields will speak on the topic of teaching children about responsibility. Every parent dreams of having kids that are trustworthy, conscientious, and willing to take accountability for their actions. Unfortunately, kids aren’t born knowing how to be responsible – they must be taught. We’ll also make a gorgeous hoop wreath at this month’s meeting to usher in that spring-y feeling!
